High Point Campus

In May 1981, the college purchased the former Chrysler dealership at 901 South Main Street. This new, then-named High Point Center opened in October 1981 with 27,000 square feet including three acres, two buildings and 300 lighted parking spaces.

Today, the High Point Campus sits on approximately 14 acres and consists of more than 159,000 square feet in downtown High Point. The campus consists of five classroom buildings, an amphitheater and a new black box theater. The first three buildings on this campus were existing when the college acquired the property and have been repurposed for classroom, office and student services spaces.

The campus currently houses more than 3,000 students. It is home to the Larry Gatlin School of Entertainment Technology offering degrees in recording engineering, concert sound and lighting, music business and music performance. Other programs include pharmacy technology, simulation and gaming design and college transfer.

The Middle College, operated onsite by Guilford County Schools, is considered one of the best high schools in Guilford County. Middle College students take high school courses, but have access to college credit courses and have the opportunity to graduate with not only a high school diploma, but also an associate degree.
