Sex Offender Registries

In compliance with the federal “Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act” (CSCPA) of 2000, Guilford Technical Community College Campus Police Department provides information to assist current and prospective employees and students in accessing the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry.

North Carolina General Statute14-208.9(c) requires offenders who are required to register to notify in writing (delivered in person) the Sheriff’s Office of their county of residence within three business days when they enroll or terminate enrollment as a student at an institution of higher education. Those offenders are also required to notify in writing (delivered in person) the Sheriff’s Office of their county of residence within three business days when they become employed or terminate employment at an institution of higher education.
